Kae Masuda

profile

In my oil paintings, I depict natural environments and phenomena that when constructed in the painting appear as a mosaic work or hand woven textile fabric, weaving and intertwining multiple cultural references. The paintings simultaneously bring together multiple textures, colors, and perspectives while also resisting notions of time where past, present and future coalesce in an enigmatic space of fantasy.
