From philosophy, history, geometry, mathematics and music, all of which are inseparable in Minami’s work, he extracts elements that represent the ‘core of art’ from all studies and cultures, incorporates them into his algorithms and reflects them on paintings.

In this exhibition, Minami will present works that compound the development of “minimalism”, which he consistently pursues, with his signature series of color algorithms. “Minimalism”, as Minami considers it, encompasses a fundamental idea in humanity in its stripped-down expression. The effective philosophy for people living today is expressed not as ‘none’ but as ‘no limit’, suggesting further possibilities for people living today.
